Introduction: Postpartum Depression (PPD) refers to non-psychotic depressive episodes that begin in or extend into the postpartum period. According The American Psychiatric Association (APA) depression is defined as occurrence of a Major Depressive Episode (MDE) within 4 weeks after delivery. Objectives our study: To find out prevalence PPD among women aged 20-40 years population. Methodology: Data were collected using valid Edinburgh Postnatal Scale (EPDS). internal reliability scale was 0.84 (Cronbach's alpha). EPDS has 10 questions, and scoring following: score less than eight points shows unlikely, nine 11 considered possible, 12-13 interprets fairly high possibility depression, +13 scores higher show positive results, cutoff point 13+.Results: We included total 310 based on inclusion criteria diagnostic PPD, age group years. mean found be 28.5±4.5 used for diagnosis PPD.
